The second evening of the Echizen Asakura Mantouya, 23 August, is streamed live on YouTube. If you cannot come to Ichijodani, you can still watch the valley as the candles are lit. The stream from 22 August remains available as an archive.
The candles are lit from 18:00 on both evenings — about 15,000 of them, placed by the hands of the seven former Asuwa districts. For the programme, see the event guide.
