Held at the same time: Echizen Asakura Sengoku Festival

On August 22 and 23, the 56th Echizen Asakura Sengoku Festival is held together with Mantouya. On August 23, the day begins with a memorial service for the five Asakura lords, followed by the Sengoku warrior procession, a matchlock gun demonstration and the Ichijodani Song Festival — programs unique to a Warring States castle town (see the schedule above).
